No, we do not have a signature required.
Orders will be delivered on a Tuesday or Thursday to the address you supply. When you place an order, you will choose the date you prefer to receive your order. The date must be a week or two, on a Tuesday or Thursday, after payment is made. This gives time for the frags to heal. I am willing to hold frags for longer periods, please let me know. We will do our best to work with your schedule.
Absolutely. Please call, email, or message us and we will be happy to guide you through placing a custom order.
You will receive a confirmation email with the invoice and details of the purchase, including a delivery date that you have chosen.
DOAs are an unfortunate occurrence, as I really hate to see corals die. If this does occur, I will need to see a clear picture of the dead coral within 2 hours of receiving your package. Please do not use all blue lighting, use 10k or 14k settings for your pictures. Stressed out corals are not considered dead. However, if I see bleaching, rapid tissue necrosis or death of the coral I will give a store credit, replacement if available or refund for the loss of the coral. Shipping costs will not be refunded or covered due to any loss.
We do our best to make frags at least 1” and have included pictures on the site for your reference. Upon request, I can send clear cell phone pictures of the exact frags you will be receiving.
There are many ways to acclimate a coral, but this is what I recommend:
- Float the coral bag in your tank water for about 10 minutes.
- Take the bag out and cut it so that you can pour the bag water into a large container. Transfer the coral into the container, making sure the coral is submerged in the container with the bag water.
- Next, get new arrivals introduced to your system water. Either drip acclimate or use a small cup and slowly add your tank water into the container with the coral and bag water. Do this for 10 minutes or so until you double the amount of saltwater in your container.
- Cut the protection cup vertically at 12 o’clock and 6 o’clock so that you can separate the cup and pull the frag plug from the base without touching the frag itself.
- Remove the coral and place it in a quarantine tank if you have one. Otherwise, place it in your tank.
Tip: Wait to dip your corals for at least 48 hrs after delivery or until signs of stressed corals are not present. Corals are very stressed after being shipped. They are vulnerable and are at their weakest time after shipping.
Raising Reefs follows a strict rule, which I recommend everyone to follow: QUARANTINE EVERY ACROPORA frag. I would leave them in quarantine for 3-4 weeks, with weekly dips. Do not go overboard and use more dipping solution than you need. Observe the frags with a high powered flashlight and make sure no pests are observed after 3-4 weeks. Make sure you also check with a flashlight at night.
Most internet traffic takes place between a browser (like Firefox, Chrome or Internet Explorer) and a server. Both the browser and the server need to have the right tools in place to protect sensitive information in transit by encrypting it. The industry standard for encrypting traffic is SSL (also known as SSL/TLS), Raising Reefs is SSL encrypted.
